Earn Gift Cards for Reading to Your Sibling

Reading bedtime stories just got real.
If you’re 14–18 and have a younger sibling aged 0–10, you can join BookWork, read aloud, record your session, and get rewarded — with real Amazon gift cards. .
No tests. No pressure. Just your voice, a good story, and rewards that add up.

How It works

So… Why Should You Care?

BookWork isn’t schoolwork — it’s something better. If you’re between 14 and 18 years old and have a younger sibling aged 0 to 10, you can get rewarded for reading aloud to them. That’s right — real Amazon gift cards, sent monthly. You just read to your sibling, record it on your phone, upload the session, and we take care of the rest. It’s flexible, it’s simple, and it actually pays. So if you’re already spending time reading to your sibling, why not make it count for something more?

Step-by-Step: How BookWork Works

Step 1

Sign Up (Ages 14–18)

If you're between 14 and 18 years old and have a younger sibling aged 0–10 living with you, you can join BookWork. You’ll need permission from a parent or guardian. We’ll contact them once you fill out the quick sign-up form.

Step 2

Read + Record

Grab a book, sit with your younger sibling (age 0–10), and read aloud to them in person. While you're reading, open your phone’s voice recorder app and record the session from start to finish.

Step 3

Upload Your Recording

After you're done, upload the audio file to BookWork’s private and secure upload link. No need to edit — just send the full recording.

Step 4

Get Rewarded

After we verify that the reading happened, you’ll receive an Amazon gift card. Rewards are sent monthly and calculated based on your local minimum wage. The more you read, the more you earn.

BookWork for Parents/Guardians

We operate in full transparency at BookWork

We care about safety, privacy, and full transparency — especially when teens and younger children are involved. That’s why parent or guardian permission is required before any teen (ages 14–18) can join the BookWork program. When a teen signs up, we’ll reach out to you to explain exactly how it works and answer any questions. You’ll always know what’s being recorded, how the data is used (only for verifying the reading sessions), and how your teen is rewarded. Participation is completely voluntary, and optional feedback may be requested through short surveys. You can also start the sign-up process yourself if you’d prefer. We're building something meaningful — and we’re doing it together, with families like yours.
